Heavy bleeding is not a definite sign of miscarriage (i.e., it might be placenta previa), but it DEFINITELY requires you to see your doctor ASAP. Your doctor will probably recommend you go to the ER or labor and delivery at your local hospital right away.

You must go to the hospital to get an examination. Heavy bleeding during pregnancy can be a sign of miscarriage, but can also be caused by other factors.
Only after an examination from a doctor will you be sure what is happening. A DNC, which is an invasive procedure, is not the only option if you are having a miscarriage. You can also naturally miscarry, or take a pessary to force the miscarriage.

You definitely need to call your doctor. There have been women who have continued to have their period to some degree through an otherwise normal pregnancy, but it can be a symptom of a problem like an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage or later placenta previa. Some causes can signal problems that can be dangerous for both mother and baby.

If you are pg and you are bleeding go to the hospital right now! bleeding as in a normal period is not normal!!!! You need to be checked to see if your cervix is open and if in fact you are miscarrying.

I could be a miscarriage. I would wait a while, then take another pregnancy test. Or you could go see your doctor.

IF you ARE pregnant see your OBGYN IMMEDIATELY or goto the ER. If it's a miscarriage they need to clean you out...called a DNC.
Otherwise if you were NOT pregnant, you are on your cycle.
