i want to know what could be the cause downloaded limewire before never had any thing about a firewall popping up before you could fully download.

You probaly have the windows firewall on. Go to control panel and then security center.

I take it that limwire is a music/file sharing program. I always stay away from those things. Nothing but bad thing have happened to my friends computers because of those programs.
I do remember seeing a free firewall/antivirus program on my friends PC using kazaa. It must be one that is loaded with limewires new version or something. Probably not a good firewall anyway. I'd suggest that you invest in a good firewall / antivirus software to protect your comp if you're going to be file sharing.

If you read it more carefully the word IF is in the statement. It is just letting you know what may happen if you do have one.
