I've heard that Ambien and Lunesta work really well, but you have to have 7-8 hours to dedicate to sleep. I only have 6 hours in which to sleep (unless I go to bed at 8pm) so I have not asked my doctor for a prescription yet. Although he agrees that I do not get enough sleep...go figure. Talk to your doctor. Otherwise, all of the OTC sleep aids are pretty much the same. You might want to try melatonin. You can buy it almost anywhere. No matter what it is (and it will differ for everyone), you'll still need to see your doctor. So, just pick up the phone and make that appointment.
