Everything is connected properly, but one second it says Internet Connected then it quickly switches to A network cable is unpluggled. This goes back and forth. What should I do?

The modem has all of the lights on. I think it might be the modem because it says "30 packets sent, 0 received"

Ok. Don't get me started on the Surfboard.. it's the biggest b*tch ever.

The problem with the router is usually the internet connect.

What you need to do is check the set up. Check if the cable that the cable men setup in your house is in the back of the modem. Now, you will probably have your setup on either Ethernet or USB. Switch to the other if one doesn't work.

If the both don't work, check again, this time check that the ONLINE light is green, and the PC onnectivity light is on and flashing.

If the ONLINE light isn't green. Then call your ISP ( Internet Service Provider) and get help. They do something where they check if your modem is asking for an address (DNS or IP i think). (basically so you can connect to their network and get internet). If not, they will assign you one, you turn your router on and it works.

Or, worst case, your modem is screwd and it needs to be replaced.

What has happened is that the modem must be first connected to the internet through your computer. Then you go connect it to the ps3. Thats what i do if my modem stuffs up. You can also try connecting to playstation store without doing a connection test because sometimes this works too.

If you got your modem from the cable company I would call them. If you bought it yourself it might be defective. Does the modem "work" when it says it is connected? Oh and defintely check for loose connections
