I use easy-off on mine. But since you don't have any - put it on the top of your stove and pour water into it and turn the stove on high and boil it for awhile. It should loosen the crap so you can more easily scrub it - but scrub it you must.

Pots & Pans: I am sure the broiler pan would work too.

To clean burnt and scorched pans, sprinkle liberally with baking soda, adding just enough water to moisten. Let stand for several hours. You can generally lift the burned portions right out of the pans.

Get a can of Easy Off.... Take the pan outside and spray it on there, let it soak for about 5 to 10 minutes. then you will only have to lightly scrub it off. Oh and be sure to wear gloves.

Did you try soaking it in warm soapy water?
After it has softened up a bit scrub it with an S O S pad. You can use some baking soda to help loosten up what is left.

Soak it in hot water with about 2 tablespoons of vinegar added to it. After 2-3 hours, the gunk will all come right off :)

Do you have any laundry detergent? If you have any lemon in the house. Vinegar sometimes takes some of this away.
Good luck....
