Yes, going to college gives you a significant edge over those that do not go this route. This is not to say that you can't be successful as a college graduate, but there are certainly more options available to you since you would have the education and experience in your field. Remember while you won't be a student in college forever, you are always a student in life.

No, just the action of going to a good college for a better education, does not in and of itself give you a better life.

It gives you more opportunities, for certain, but it is what you do with you education, coupled with the type person you are, that determines achieving a better life.

Unless you totally waste your time in college, yes, it may help give you a better life in the future.

You'll: know more, be better at learning and problem-solving, likely have better people skills, be more independent and confident, have more connections re: friends and work potential, can get higher-level/higher-paying jobs, etc.

It can give you the tools (skills and knowledge) for having a better life in the future. However, the real key to how your life turns out is a combination of your own traits, your own choices, and the circumstances that happen to you -- your experiences. You are definitely the sculptor of your own life, but we all have slightly different "marble" to work with! It's up to you to do the best you can with what you have! Happy "sculpting"!
