Here are some interesting medical jobs that I bet others aren't going to write about. A pathologist, oncologist, and anestheologist. Listed below are the descriptions of the jobs.

A pathologist is a physician who specializes in diagnosing diseases by examining tissue, blood, and body fluids using sophisticated laboratory techniques. Most training programs for pathology include 4 years of medical school followed by 5-6 years of residency and fellowship training.

An anesthesiologist (American English), or anaesthetist (British English), is a medical doctor trained to administer anesthesia. In the U.S., an anesthetist is usually a nurse or technician trained to administer anaesthesia (See nurse anesthetist). In the U.S. there are legal definitions as well: A physician who has completed a residency in anesthesia is refered to as an Anesthesiologist, while a physician who has been trained in anesthesia, but not completed a residency in anesthesia, is refered to as an Anesthetist.

Oncologists are physicians who study, diagnose, and treat cancerous tumors. They practice in hospitals and medical centers, university hospitals, and research organizations.

Paramedics dude. We see it all before the docs get it sorted out for them. ER nurses and ER docs too. Tie the three in together and you have an interesting report that is also fluid. You can walk a case scenario from injury or illness through stabilization with these. We see it all and we treat it all. None of the others matter if we don't save ya. Good luck on the contest.

It may be uninteresting to you but...
there is Medical Coding and Medical Transcribing. Im a transcriptionist and what I basically do is type out any information the doctors records onto a machine about the patients appointments/phone calls/info. It's all very confidential information and can be quite interesting to hear about. I have to learn medications and medical terms. It's different and definetly not as interesting BUT its different and every doctor uses them
Good luck!

It may not be glamorous, but Nursing Assistant. They do a lot more of the "hands-on" direct patient care than many others in helth care. N.A.'s bathe, walk, and feed patients, just to name a few aspects. They are usually the ones to take a patient's vital signs.

You could write about the nursing field which is rapidly growing.
Inhalation Therapists
Scrub nurses
How about the lowly workers at the hospital who do the grunge work, you know: cleaning up patients, floors, rooms and yet without them the hospital could not function, but they get paid zip.
If you write about doctors just write that their main function is to make money not to save lives.
