I get pumped by watching hockey. I listen to Metallica, Billy Talent and loud techno to get me pumped, but I'm usually so on edge (I'm a goalie) that I listen to chill music, especially ELP, before a game. Loud offensive rap kicks *** as well.

For me games from the old NHL video games make me think of hockey. One that they play all the time at the arena (and I hate the band but i love the opening riff) is Heavy by Collective Soul.
