Yes! I got a clearly positive result this cycle on an OPK as early as I got a positive on an actual home pregnancy test (about 13 days past ovulation). They definitely work. Just make sure that the test line is darker than the control.

No, an ovulation predictor is testing for the surge of the LH in your body. A pregnancy test is testing for HCG in your body.

Actually all these people are wrong. You can but a positive does not mean that you are for sure pregnant obviously because you could just have a high LH level. A positive pregnancy test does mean you are pregnant so you save yourself some possible heartache by using an actual pregnancy test.
