It might be possible to release trapped gasses from rock on Mars; likewise, it might be possible to convert water into its components of hydrogen and oxygen. Whether there would be ENOUGH trapped gasses or water to do this is another matter; if the quantity is sufficient, theoretically it should be possible to create a new atmosphere for the planet, or alter the existing one (presently about 95% carbon dioxide) to make it habitable for plants and people.

Maybe try concentrating on simpler things like how to spell words correctly that are over 5 letters long and leave the terraforming and astronomy to the heavy hitters.........
