i have Acer aspire 3000 laptop , i want to hook up my laptop to an RCA tv , i have video turner card ( netebook tv card ) i tried to hook up my laptop via this card but the it appear in tv nothing , well i tried with sitting and to make the second monitor and won't , the card has the s-video output and i have s-video adapter wich can allow to connect via the yellow or red cable , with the dvd i do connect it via tv card and very good but the tv no i tired with all my best and nothing in my tv so im writting in this forum and i wish can someone to help me plz . thanks to everyone

After reading your question a few times, I believe you are asking why you cannot do a TV out video stream to your TV when you have successfully done it to your DVD player. The problem, you are having has to do with the electronic make up of the TV connector. If a driver (usually built in to the laptop) does not have the correct compatibility to the Output device, it won't work. If you aren't having problems connecting your laptop through the dvd player, I'd set up the output that way. There really aren't may things you can do to remedy your situation. You could try checking to see if there are any new drivers for your video adapter. That's about it.

Best guess....update the drivers from the video tv tuners website. You can always run the TV from the DVD since that seems to be working. Cable in, Cable out.
I went to www.ask.com and put in video tv tuner card problems and low an behold you're not alone. There's some good info there and probably the answer to your problem.
