Check out this: http://www.divacup.com/
It is a menstrual cup. I have been using one for over a year now and I LOVE it. You can keep it in for over 8 hours (unlike tampons), and it doesn't leave you feeling gross, sticky, or soggy (unlike pads). Plus, it is reusable, so it is MUCH cheaper and MUCH more environmental-friendly than either tampons or pads. You don't have to worry about carrying around supplies in your purse, and it is a lot healthier -- since it's made of silicone, it doesn't dry out your vaginal area like tampons or pads do. I have also noticed that my cramps are not nearly as bad now that I use it as opposed to when I was using tampons or pads. I found it SOOOO much more comfortable than tampons or pads -- tampons felt irritating and pads felt like diapers. The DivaCup I rarely even feel at all.
It comes with a guarantee, so if you don't like it, you can send it back for a full refund. I HIGHLY recommend it, especially for active people who want to be able to swim or do other physical activities while "on the rag."
Good luck!

Tampons are SO much more comfortable. For me at least. I used pads for a while and finally used tampons and I wish I had started sooner. I feel like I can be more active with a tampon because I don't have to worry about leaks. Whatever is more comortable to you, you should wear. I only wear pads at night when I sleep.

pads are more comfortable, and you can wear them longer, but if you are an athlete, morely a swimmer, tampons would be better.
Tampons during the day, Pads at night to sleep !
goodluck !

I prefer the ultra thin pads with wings. I have tried tampons and for me I find them uncomfortable and messy.
with tampons you also run a higher risk of developing toxic shock syndrome which is caused through the build up of bacteria and germs.

Pads ... Tampons gave me Toxic Shock Syndrom (read box) ... Plus, I never liked sticking things up there ... especially when a room-mate was taken to the hospital because it got lost ... Ok, as you can see, I have a bad record with the Tampons.

Tampons!!! Less mess and no you don't feel them after a few times of using them. It feels cleaner and you feel fresher! But you do have to remember to change them every 4 hours. Forgetting to do so could lead to TSS or toxic shock syndrome which is very dangerous and can be faital if untreated. Also avoid andything scented and do not use the tampaxz pearls the string can leave fibers in your uterus when it is pulled out causeing and infection. Regular tampax tampons are good but if your flow is heavy or you are cahnging the tampax every 2 hrs try the supers. Good luck!

Well, tampons would be more comfortable, but they hurt REALLY bad the first time you try them. And I have heard horror stories about using tampons; they're not safe. All my friends use tampons too, but I still use pads, because they are safer.

tampons, definetely. They are way more comfortable, you dont really get smelly down there, like with a pad, and it way less mess. You should really try them.

Tampons are the best. I can wear them for up to 10 hours with no side effects. Try them, you will feal free (like a can-do attitude) from a period.
