Ok, I just upgraded my computer 2 days ago, I bought a new motherboard, and a new processor. In my old motherboard and processor...it showed 3GB of RAM, now in my new one It's only showing 2.85GB of RAM, in BIOS is says total available is 3072MB, this motherboard doesn't have onboard video...and I have my own videocard in the AGP slot...what could be the problem? I don't understand why its not showing all of it?

In your bios settings, there may be an option for "AGP Hole" - basically, the memory on your graphics card may be only addressable in a certain range, thus blocking out that amount of memory on the motherboard.
Some motherboards also take some memory to cache things like bios accesses and access to certain pci devices.
With either 2.85 GB or 3072 MB RAM, though, the difference isn't going to hurt you much anyhow - it's basically one or two task bar icons worth.

check everything is connected correctly, make sure the hardwear does not need any kind of installation and check to made sure all new aparts are compatible with your old parts and eachother. if that doesn't work scream then try and find someone at your local computer store who knows what they are talking about
