there is plenty of time, why take a step back when you have just taken a step forward...
give it time...a year really isn't a long time...

It depends. Do you have children? If so, I wouldn’t remarry until the kids are 18. Seriously. Too much drama otherwise dealing with the ex. If there are no kids, then I would expect another 6 to 12 months. If nothing happens after that I would wonder if it would ever happen and probably move on. But don’t wait to find out. I would ask your partner where they think this is going. If you can’t communicate about this now, it’s probably not a good sign.

Last time i checked i didn't see a definite prescribed time like
paying taxes, getting a Bachelors degree etc. These situations
are different for different people. You may not have the same
relationship as another couple, or possibly your bf may not feel
the same as you do at this particular time. Being a divorcee I
would think that you would want to take as much time as you
can to learn more about your sig others personality, viewpoints
and confirm his feelings about you. Getting to know what you
are getting into may circumvent another failed marriage.

No longer than a year. Sorry but if youve been spending time with a man for at least six months and he hasnt even told you that he loves you then something is wrong. If he has told you he loves you and doesnt talk of marriage (knowing full well that you are interested in marriage), then something is wrong with him if he doesnt ask you to marry him within the next six months. I am not trying to be brutal, but its better to have wasted one year of your life with someone, then to have been strung along for more than a year thinking some guy is gonna marry you, when he clearly has no intention of doing so.

your both recovering from finding out that what you thought would be forever wasn't actually forever. Excuse him if he wants to be a little more sure this time. Do you have to be married to be together? A lot of people wait two years.

Depends on how much he loves you... that and how good you are... but those two are good indicators.... Also you both have been married before? That def. extends the timeline for a proposal.
