Because last I heard, Charlie Rangel's efforts not withstanding, this is a VOLUNTEER military. They, like millions of other American women their age chose not to volunteer.
What's the big deal about that?

In America we have a volunteer military. This means a person can join if they want to and is not forced to by the government. It is a personal choice

No need for the kids of well-to-do famlies to enlist. The poor are dumb enough to go there and fight for the CEOs profit, voluntarily.

They chose not to. You forget we have an all-voluteer military. The Bush Twins choose not to enlist and they don't have to.
