If you were a giant and you lived in the city, would you be able to hear the people because your ears are so big or would you not be able to hear them because the people are so small? i didn't come up with this, my sister did...

Gigantism is a disorder that does exist. Otherwise normal people have pituitary tumors which cause them to grow to over 7' tall (I think the record is 8'6"). If these are the giants that you are referring to, well their hearing is normal. If you are talking about 20' tall mythical beings I suppose you could make your own assumptions since they are not real to begin with! Their hearing would be whatever you want it to be!

I have really good hearing and I can hear even small noises from small things. I think big-eared animals hear better.

Elephants do an ultra-low-frequency vibrational call that can go through the earth for miles. They don't hear it with their ears, though--I think they feel it through their legs or something. Pretty cool, though.

People make a lot of racket--I think giants would hear them just fine.

My guess is you wouldn't hear them because the air particles which carry the sound of voices would be too small for the large hearing hairs of the giants inner ears to detect.

Using the Biblical description of a Giant, Id say that they would hear people....after all, a giant is only 9-10 feet tall...

roughly speaking the smaller the animal the lighter and more delicate its ear structure is and hence the higher the frequencies its ears can pick up. dogs for example are well known for hearing those high pitched silent dog whistles that we cannot. so if your giant was big enough it in turn might not be able to hear us speaking in what to it would be inaudibly high frequencies.

I am surmising that you mean someone who is gargantuan, with humongous ears. I am prone to think, that at times, the giant, would hear little noises akin to whispers or scratching, as the "normal sized" people shuffle through life and go about their daily business.

you could hear the people because they would sound like mouse noises.
