how do i make the 'u' with the 2 dots over it?

Go to Microsoft Word, then click the insert menu, then go to Symbol... and click it. There you will find 'u' with the 2 dots over it.

Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map then choose your font and scroll down the list.

Start>>All Programs>>Accesories>>System tools>>Character map. Just copy and paste.

in MS Word, you can create symbols by using other characters.
:) = smilley
:| = straight fac
:( = frown
--> arrow right
<-- arrow left
(R) = registered
(TM) = trademark
(C) = copyright
theres tons more i dont even know about. they're alot of fun to use, and they can be very helpful!! Enjoy!

if you are talking about Microsoft Word then you can go to:
Insert>>Objects then you can find that u in the long list.
