I think it depends on what the gift is. If its a personal gift like lingerie I would say that its highly inappropriate to accept a gift like that, if its something like a new set of dish towels, then accept them gladly and with no worries.
The tough part would be the in between gifts like jewelry, that can be taken so many different ways and though a necklace may be given with no intention except a gift for a friend, it might make your boyfriend a bit uncomfortable that you would recieve such a nice gift from someone who is "just a friend".

I guess it depends on the type of relationship that you and the boyfriend have. If he's understanding then i don't see why you can't accept a gift from your male friend. And if he's smart he'll feel like thats a gift that i don't have to get. That seems to be selfish on his part. But you were able to recieve a gift without the headache or argument. GOODLUCK!

Why not? Unless they're expecting something from giving the gift and you intend on doing something because they gave you a gift. Gifts from other guys just means less things your boyfriend has to buy for you.

I don't really see why not. Its really okay to have friends that are guys when you have a boyfriend. If youre worried about your boyfriend getting jealous about it, it really shouldnt bother him if you have friends that are guys
