Let's put it this way, one of my co-workers is a big Yankees fan, and he was extremely happy that they traded "The Big Useless."

Bad trade for the D-Backs. His value was more akin to Vizcaino alone.

YES! Randy Johnson can bring the D-Backs to the post-season. You may be laughing at that but they'll be laughing come october. The D-Backs have the second best farm team in baseball (next to the angels) and they're going to bring up the talent with several opening positions. And age wasnt the problem with Randy Johnson, New York was. Its a tiny park that gets cold, two factors that mess with Randy Johnson's pitching ability. Randy Johnson's experience will also rub off on the young players as well. Think: Brandon Webb and Randy Johnson, a great one two punch if Johnson pitches like he did in Arizona then you can expect playoffs for the young and talented D-Backs. It was a good trade for both teams and Yankee fans and Arizona fans should be excited.

YES! As a Yankee fan, I'm tired of us acquiring guys at the end of their careers, and hopefully this means the end of that. Johnson has gotten old with the Yankees, he's not his old, intimidating self, and can't dominate a game the way he used to. They got him to dominate in the playoffs, and he's been beat up. He even lost to Kenny Rogers this year! He needs to go back to the National League where he can face watered-down lineups, and out of the American League. The Yankees need to get younger, and this is a good move.

Yes...I am very happy. The Yankees is the place where greats go to die, and usually they are not given the opportunity to regain their former glory. Randy Johnson, although arrogant, played a role in my most memorable World Series, and he is one of my all-time favorites. Good for him and good luck to the Diamondbacks! Maybe he's got something left in the tank...it will also be good to see him get #300 with the Diamondbacks.

Yes, very excited. Now maybe the Yankees will get a good pitcher to replace him. Maybe they are making room for Roger Clemens to come back.

Absolutely not! This is a bad deal for the D-Backs. The OLD UNIT is now 43 and his downside far outweighs what reamaining
"potential" he has! The D-Backs are gambling Johnson has more than fumes left in his aging tank. The D-Backs already owe him $40 million in deferred paymets from his prior contract here! Personally, I believe they gave up too much and he's not worth another fat $multi million$ 2 year deal with the "hope" he can win 12-15 games each season? Booo. :+(

**Laughs** For the Yanks yes. Listen its stupid that the D backs ( a sucky no offense team) wants a 43 year old guy who had a 5:00 era when the dbacks will never get 5 runs in a game unlike the yanks, and there trading there olny good young prospects to us. people dont understand that he may be a great player when he wasnt old but hes old has problems and will never get below a 4 era. I bet you my life.

Yes! Randy Johnson has chocked in every post-season with the Yankees. He's old. He use to kick **** back in Seattle and Arizona. The Yankees will kick major butt with their improved starting pitching. =)

PS: Go Brett Favre! ^_^

No. I need some one to stink up the Yankees, I'm a Red sox fan! Johnny Damon obviously isn't enough-he looked like a girl and now he throws like one instead.
