I was watching a TV news report yesterday that chronicalled the trouble between blacks and latinos in one southern town. They stated that back thirty years ago there were no latinos, now the latinos are equal in number or greater in numbers than the blacks. The report showed how there is really bad tension and hatred between the two communities. The one latino guy said that they were successful because they would work harder and do jobs that blacks would not, thus pushing some blacks out of the labor market. I'm wondering: Which community would the white man prefer to prevail in a squabble? The blacks or the latinos??? I'm actually a little surprised though that the two groups wouldn't join together for mutual benefit....after all there's strength in numbers.

It all depends on the level of education and acceptance of the communities. I'm from the south and my black brother just married a Mexican woman. My family cannot buy into this rivalry because we have nieces and nephews who are mixed. My family most set an example of acceptance for the sake of those children.

Ku Klux Klan Tool, stop making me laugh. Who cares who the "white man" would prefer to squabble with, lol. I think blacks and latinos should join together, that will scare the heck out of white people. You'll see them sailing across the Atlantic back to Europe and crying Indian "Our land was stolen from us!" lol. Im just kkkidding =)
