except b the others can be triangles
rule 2 sides together>3 rd side

In a triangle, the sums of two sides will always be greater than the third side.

The formula doesn't hold true for (b), since
3 + 9 > 12 can't happen.

(b) because the 2 side lenghts must be larger than the hypotonuse to form a triangle. (b) is equal to the hypotonuse

the sum of the two shorter sides must be greater than the third side. this is true for all but case b.

Just do a(squared) + b(squared) = c(squared) and find the hypotenuse.
