Apparently there's no historical proof they did.

Oh dear. People- think it through. Just because the ninjas themselves did not leave evidence they existed does not mean other proof would not exist. Here is one way proof could exist: Daimyo X writes in his diary that he suspects Daimyo Y of hiring a ninja to kill Daimyo Q. But sources like this just don't exist. Ninjas don't even get mentioned in contemporary accounts. Wake up!

Yes Ninjas exist.

The martial art Ninjitsu is real and has a real history dating back hundreds or thousands or years.

The man Frank Dux was trained by a Ninja in the U.S. You can find out a lot more about this incredible man by watching the movie "Bloodsport" with Jean Claude Van Damme. The movie was based on the life of Mr. Dux. Or even better; read his autobiography "The Secret man"

Mr. Dux started a school where he taught people to be ninjas. the name of the school was Ninjitsu Dux Ryu.

Mr. Dux is also famous for breaking bullet proof glass with a punch, wine bottles with a punch, the dim mak. and the most impressive to me is a ki or ch'i demonstration where he was kneeling on a mat on the floor, and there was a line of 26 men trying to pull him from his place.

there are photos of all of these in the book "The Secret Man", and there used to be a video of one of his demonstrations in Paris where he set the one man tug or war record (with the line of 26 men trying to pull him from his spot, breaking the bullet proof glass, and lots more.

Before Ninjitsu they were samurai.

My avatar is wearing the outfit of a Samurai.

I never learned Ninjitsu; but I DID study and practise lots of asian disciplines.

That's because they were too sneaky to be caught by historians.

Why wouldn't they exist? It makes sense that people could learn martial arts and use them for crime. I mean, it's not like they're mythological beings...they're just people.

I wasn't aware that there was no historical proof about them. Maybe historians just aren't looking in the right places.

Yes, they're not like Naruto though. Japan had ninjas, silent, deadly assassins, who used explosive powders, and ninja stars as distractions more than weapons.

Yes they did but there was no actual fighting style or dicipline in which ninjas came from. They were X-fighters who were expelled from their dicipline for certain reasons and became what we now know today as Mercenaries or Mercs.

yes there is. The fact that Ninjutsu has been around as a martial art for years is historical proof in its self.

Well there wouldn't be now would there.

Think to what a ninja IS.
The Ninja's wanted people to believe they weren't around, they STILL want us to believe, because if we knew, then they wouldn't be NINJA anymore.
