You know how they say if someone died somewhere, like in a house, the ghost stays to haunt it.

Can ghosts roam where ever they please?
Evil or not ?

They are bound.
But not all are evil.
Some people can feel negative energy from positive energy.

Yes, ghosts can and do roam every inch of this earth. They are the Native Americans, who were killed for the land they loved. They are soldiers from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and still wear the clothes they died in. They are the thousands of black slaves, who died a horrible death after vast torture. They are the poor, who starved during the Depression Era. They are the patriotic who were sent to WWI and WWII, got wounded over there and were sent home to die.
Yes, yes, my friend. There are many more than this. The dead never die, they just roam the earth forever.

You're bound to earth for 125 years, specifically that house.

It's all very personal.

Everything I know about the afterlife, I learned from Beetlejuice.

The usual bit is that ghosts have a reason to stay on earth...I don't think everybody is trapped after they die, even by folklore standards (who knows what really happens post-death.)

I guess if the ghost were evil would depend on what the living person was like.

Okay, well I believe that all souls go to heaven or where ever it is that they belong. The ones that we see are actually evil spirits or demons taking the form of the ones are... how do I put it? lets say trusted people/souls so as we don't be afraid of them. I don't think that demons(ghosts) can roam wherever they please because they are bound to places which have a presense about them.

Theres some beliefs that ghosts can only be attatched to one place if they have regrets or something about their life. Most evil ghosts won't bother you unless you have done something or you can see them, so they get attention. There are very little evil ghosts, just ones with regrets. Most are friendly.

Just because someone died there does NOT mean it is haunted.

Hauntings are usually caused by two factors.

1. violent murder or suicide.

2. the person was very attached to their posessions or property, and is unable or unwilling to move on to the next plane of existence

Most important question "Why do you think your house is haunted?

No, ghosts are bound to either the location they died in, or the place that meant the most to them.

A ghost is a spiritual being that is (for some reason) in the physical world, and does not know, or has chosen not to leave it. therefore; it can leave when it wants or comes to understand that it can. (I believe)

There are several things that have to take place before a spirit can haunt a certain place... And only demons can go where ever they choose because they are also fallen angels and have the power of angels... Also demons are not dead............................. YET............................
