Tell your daughter you think her name is a great idea, but you want to name the new baby so she would have a special name from her mommy and daddy like they did. And tell her that you're really proud of how well she's been helping you pick out new things 4 the baby!

Shes just really excited and wants to be a part of the fun! The best part about being pregnant if preparing for the baby (and that goes for the whole family). If you don't want to go with her name Idea she'll get over just make sure you tell her that if was a good idea or encourage in some way. That way she won't grow up jealous.

What to do? Remember that YOU are the Mom. The adult. The one who is SUPPOSED to be making decisions. It is entirely appropriate that you and your husband choose the name of your soon to be born child.

Some sibling rivalry is normal. It is a part of being human. Do not let your fear of your child being jealous rule out your own good sense. Stop worrying about the child being jealous and start ruling as all mom's rule.

You will do just fine.

make the name she likes the middle name so she'll still be 100% happy with everything. Make the name you and hubby picked the first and primary name.
