There are a lot of good players right now but I'd have to go with Kobe Bryant. He is a scorer, sees the whole court, and is currently carrying his team without Lamar Odom. Not to mention the 81 points he scored against the Raptors last year. He's still getting into his prime and could become the all time leading scorer in NBA history

I just need to say that people need to stop fantasizing about Kobe Bryant. Ever since the guy scored 81 points people think he's the greatest thing to enter the NBA...better than Michael Jordan or Kareem, which just isn't the case. Kobe is a great player but he is by no means the best player in the NBA...if he was the media and everyday people wouldn't be able to stop talking about him, which isn't the case for Kobe

LeBron James. Skillwise, he and Steve Nash are on top. But look at both of their supporting casts. Nash has Stoudamire, Marion, Diaw, etc. BronBron has nothing. No other all-stars on his team, Nash has at least two. I would also consider Gilbert Arenas, but his team just isn't doing good enough to call him the best player.

It would have to be Kobe. He is the best all round player bar none.
I'm not a lakers fan or Kobe fan however the proof is in the pudding.
He's won championships... he can score (80+)... plays defense... and has become a very good team player.

- hes the best 3+ shooter
- can always shoot in front of any defender
- has a great ball handling
- alert
- and from the years to come will be one of the greatest in my opinion

I would have to say Lebron James. James is on fire right now makin shots from the other end of the court making buckets alll day. Lebron is hot right now and if he stays that way he is definatly the best in the NBA!!!!!!!!!!!!
