Obviously,the bands you mentioned aren't metal in the least bit. I am a metalhead to the core. So here is a list of stuff to listen to:
Metallica
Black Sabbath
Megadeth
Pantera
Ozzy Osbourne
Slayer
Black Label Society
Dio
Danzig
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Accept
Fight
Then see if you still like metal. If not, why bother.

First off, it's spelled "heavy", not "heavey". Of the four bands you listed, none of them are very great but Killswitch Engage is definitely the best. Of all metal bands ever, though. I'd have to say Iron Maiden is a greatest. Even if you don't like their music so much, you have to appreciate what they've done to the genre.

I like old scholl heavy metal also: OZZY, AC\DC, metallica, Kiss, guns n roses, Skid Row ( not really heavy), Motley Crew,Pantara,White Zombie ( rob Zombie) Danzig, Black Sabbath, Judas priest, Queensryche( not really meral but very good rock and roll)

You can find new bands on myspace.com. you can do a search by genres. You can also find new bands by listening to internet radio stations that promote the myspace bands. Our station www.nvasionradio.com is one of those stations. All you need to do is login to tagboard and ask the dj for any genre of music and ask that it be an unsigned band or say a myspace band

RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS! wow they have to much time on their hands to make that name and should get a life because there just another emo band
listen to Led zeppelin or system of a down and ditch those guys and get with the beatles, rolling stones, the who, jimi hendrix, the doors all those good bands
