We've all been betrayed at some time in our lives. For me it was a husband (a teacher/preacher/counselor) who molested our own little boys and some of his students and parishioners. How's that for betrayal? Of course I haven't forgotten him....or the lesson I learned from our thirteen years together.....A*S*Sholes come in all disguises. I've learned, too, to be more cautious and I've gone on to have a wonderful life. You can too.

i was betrayed by the same person twice. The physical pain was horrible. I eventually got over it, and now we are friends. I will never forget him or what we shared because if I ever loved any one or was in love with anyone, it was him. Those feelings of being in love have finally gone away, but when we are in the company of one another, I sometimes think of how things would be if we wound up together. In my hearts of hearts, I know it wouldn't have worked, but that won't change any of the things we shared. We share three children!

think we feel so bad about being betrayed cause it hurts our ego, it hurts how we view ourselves, we think if we were all that, than why did they leave and betray us. we often feel bad, especially if we blame ourselves, especially if our mate gives his reason and he faults us for the reason. also it hurts to be denied something we love and want, knowing someone else has what use to belong to us. we feel somewhat entitled to what we feel belongs to us, especially if we have alot invested in that person. we can't forget cause we still expect this person to change their mind, we still have hopes, and think that person may still love us again, or at least be remorseful. we are really in this denial thing, we don't want to face the truth, as being in this denial stage does protect us from total devastation and hurt for at least awhile, until we see he really isn't coming back. we hurt cause we don't want to let go, or move one way or the other, we loved them, but perhaps alot more than they loved us. we may have been living an illusion and seeing it all through our own eyes, and how we felt about that person. we also have put him on a pedestal thinking him incapable of doing us such an injustice, so we are quick to blame the other person involved with our loved one.

Yes I have been betrayed. My ex husband had a lover and a baby and hid it from me for a year until he finally had the balls to leave me.
Anyway, time does heal, and if this has been a recent thing for you it will drive you crazy until the feelings and memories fade, and they will...hang in there.

I have been betrayed...my husband cheated on me with this girl I didn't like and I knew her...I think that hatred keeps a bond between 2 people....The only reason you hate them is because you have loved them to begin with...other wise you wouldn't be upset...I would learn how to forgive, in my own personal way and never speak to him again....there's a difference between forgiveness and forgetting.
Good Luck!!!

Yes, same old-same old. Thought he loved me, but he sent a knife through the heart, and had a baby with somebody else! 5 years of my live down the drain. I'd say that was the worst feeling I have ever experienced. I have no contact with him now.

I was with this girl for like two years we broke up and we were trying to be friends but we ended up making out and stuff then that night we went to a game and she left me for this other guy that she had been liking. Right in front of me to after she was telling how much she loved me and everything.
