i've been tracking a surprise package i sent to my boyfriend. But today when i checked it an exeption was made and the reason was because of a Diad Missort. Does anyone who is experienced with shipping or UPS know what that means? Its not biggy, i'm just curious. Thanks.

I work for the competition.

A mis-sort occurs when a package is sorted incorrectly, sent to the wrong place.

Common causes of mis-sorts: the shipper made an error on name and or address, the courier entered information incorrectly, or human error.

It is not lost - just not where it's supposed to be.

A Diad is the little computer clipboard which they use to scan packages to their trucks and for deliveries. It means the person using the Diad sorted it to the wrong location. They have already identified the problem, so as soon as it gets to the hub for additional sorting, it will be sorted correctly.

it was missorted. In other words UPS lost it.
