Using products wont help prevent you from getting acne, it only sometimes helps what's there. Acne comes from within, so topical solutions don't generally help. I recommend you eat raw fruits and vegetables to get all of their nutrients. Try not to eat junk or greasy food. Drink more water than usual- about 5-6 bottles a day. Get a good facial cleanser. I like Noxzema Anti-bacterial face wash/triclosan medicated. It's very good and if you wear makeup, it will take it right off. So stop using makeup remover if you do. Also something that really saved my face was a prescription pill called Minocycline. It's designed to kill many varities of bacteria that cause acne. Talk to your regular doctor about it- you don't need a dermatologist to get information or get it prescribed to you. Good luck to you

good for you for not wanting to use products.
i think it helps to . . .
wash your face once/twice a day with lukewarm water and a washcloth
don't scratch your face (keep fingernails short)
make sure your shampoo and/or makeup doesn't break you out. (i had a problem with covergirl products. now i use maxfactor)
i know these are products, but i thinks it's important to moisturize your skin twice a day. i use aveeno.
i also like clearasil's maximum strength spot treatment. the only problem is it's strength because it can make your face dry and red, so be careful.
best of luck.
