'switchfoot' is a surfing term and also means to take a new perspective on things.
doubt you needed that last half, but oh well.

Hey I thought it was both.
Switchfoot surfing term denotes a person who surfs "left-footed"? or is it when a person switches their lead foot for some special effect.
The guitar pedal thing I though had to do with the wah-wah sound.
Could be wrong, could be alternate universe info I am giving you... but they are a great band.
