Do you mean 2x is not equal to 5? It's an equal sign with a line drawn through it?

Then divide both sides by 2 and x is not equal to 2.5

So x can be ANY number EXCEPT for 2.5 and the solution set is
(-∞, 2.5) U (2.5, ∞)
