Hi I am 33 weeks pregnant with my second child. I have been having Braxtons hicks for almost four weeks now, couple days ago I have been feeling like I am getting my periond. My back is hurting feeling a little crampy. My little baby girl feels awfully lower. Sometimes it hurts to sit a certain way. Last night I was having lots of pain in my lower pelvic eara. My husband is thinking I will deliver in the next 48 hours. What do you think? Need some other mothers who has had more the one child to help with with advice?
Does the second child come early? and are these sign that she is not far from coming?

I'm currently almost 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th child, all the symptoms you are having are very normal for 33 weeks, the farther along you get the worse it gets too. It does not mean the baby will be born in the next few days though, you can actually carry your baby for weeks, or months 1-3 cm dilated. What it does mean is you should try and drink more water, if you get dehydrated it can cause contractions and cramps etc. The birth order doesn't mean baby will come early or later either. Try proping your feet up and taking it easy it will help with the crampy aches and pains.

Is your back pain feeling like contractions? If so you had better time them some women get contractions in the lower back only. Sometimes the feelings of crampiness are from the baby working it's way into the birth canal and delivery could still take up to 8 weeks. The last few weeks there can be some terrible pelvic pains, or as my friends and I call them, shooting crotch pains. The most sure sign that the baby is coming of course is your water breaking, but at 33 weeks not likely with a healthy normal pregnancy. The second child comes when the time is right just like the 1st or 3rd or 6th. I predict you will deliver much much closer to your due date.

I have 9 beautiful children. Where you can't say for sure that you will definitely deliver in 48 hrs, those are some of the symptoms I have had before delivery however these could go on for over a month.
33 wks is too early to be having a baby. The baby lungs needs until atleast 36 wks to be fully developed. Maybe you should stay off your feet awhile and take it easy until you are 37wks.
The more children you have had do sometimes make the others come earlier. My last three children were all born at 36 1/2 wks. I don't think I will ever make it to 38 or 40wks again, lol.
God bless you and I pray your precious one will stay in the over just a few more weeks longer.

I have had a lot of your similar experiences over the past few weeks and I am 32 weeks. I can't say for sure if delivery is imminent but I was told that these could all be signs that labor is coming soon, especially the crampy period feeling.

Drink lots and lots of water! Water keeps you hydrated and it is a natural way to relieve pain. Rest and say affirmations "My baby and I are well and we are both comfortable."
If you have any other concern, call your doctor or midwife.

It sure do sound like your ready to go. other mothers that I spoke to said that it was much shorter for them the 2nd time but for me it lasted just as long (1st 23hrs 30min- 2nd 21hrs 17min- 3rd 6hrs). 1st not much pain 2nd was a killer 3rd in between. hope you have a healthy baby good luck
