I love Lord of the Rings and want to see more like it. Anybody know of anything?

I think Eragon could be like LotR I haven't seen the movie but I read the book. Harry Potter is not like the LotR they are a completely different series and their world is totally different.
In movies LotR is better than HP (I have to admit that, even though I'm HP #1 fan) but as far as the books, Harry Potter is better (I know a bunch of people are going to disagree with me, but that's my opinion) I personally LOVE the movies of Lord of the Rings, but I don't really like the books.
And it's the contrary with Harry Potter, I like the books better than the movies.
The truth is that there's nothing like Lord of the Rings.

HARRY POTTER! There are four out right now and the 5th will be out July 23, 2007 for most places. I highly recomend them. Excellent movies, but the books are 5000 times better...lol, go check 'em out!

I'd go with Star Wars (the first 3)
Harry Potter is a good series, but the first two movies were bad the third was the best and the forth was mediocure at best. Read the books they are WAY better.
Eragon was a good movie but wait till the director's cut comes out they had to hack alot of the action sequences to keep the lower MPAA rating.

Eragon was o.k. but definately no LOTR!!
2006's Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was similar and very good!!
Star Wars series but you've probably already seen that.
The Neverending Story is in a similar genre.
Disney has one coming out in February called, "The Bridge to Terabithia" that looks good and possibly similar.
Also, "Lady in the Water" was good.

If you mean good movie series, then you can try:
1. Rocky (Thriller) -- 6 parts
2. Star Wars (Sci-fi fiction) -- 6 parts
3. Matrix (Fiction) -- 3 parts
4. Silence of the lambs (Horror, thriller) -- 3 parts
5. Harry Potter (fiction) -- 5 parts
6. Godfather
But if you meant good movies then with the list mentioned above you could also try downfall, life is beautiful, eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, pulp fiction, fight club, momento, notebook, seven, usual suspects, Leon, clerks, good bad and ugly, rear window etc......

I heard Eragon is kind of like it. But I haven't seen it myself. As is Harry Potter.
