I am O- and my husband is O+ It does not mean we cannot have a baby something called the RH factor plays a part. If the baby has O+ blood it will desensitize the mother's blood. Making her body attack the baby. They give you something horrible called rhogam to stop the effects. But my sister had a terrible reaction to it that has ruined her life so I will never take that. I have a healthy Little boy and as long as my blood does not become desensitized (trauma to the placenta) I can continue to have babies. Also If the baby has negative blood there is no problem at all. My son had positive blood. Hope that answers your question. There are no other problems with blood types.

No problem at all.... ..but.. ..The only possible prob you could have is if you guys have a child that has a positive rhesus factor (rhesus factor is the positive and negative factor concerning blood type). In some cases, when the first child is born, the mother's immune systen is exposed to the fetus' blood and, consequently, the positive rhesus factor. The negative mother can possibly build an immune response (basically, her immune system develops the capacity to make antibodies against the positive rhesus factor) to a second child that has a positive rhesus factor and the mother's immune system can attack the fetal blood ultimlately causing the fetal blood to coagulate and misscariage to occur. You can be comforted to know that less than 1% of births show such incompatability and typically physicians can apply medications to inhibit the mothers immune system from attacking the fetus. hope that helps!

I'm pretty sure that blood type has only to do with who can accept or donate blood to whom. People of any blood type can procreate with people of any other blood type. However, it is a little known fact that children of 2 B negatives will become strippers and a pair of 0 negatives will sire a dyed-in-the-wool Republicans... so beware dummy!

Any blood types can have a baby. There is a higher risk of Rh incompatibility if the mother is rh negative and the child is rh positive though.

Yep, my mom has o- and my dad has o+ and they had 3 healthy children. So it is definitely possible. Blood type has nothing to do with being able to have children or not.
Me and my 2 brothers have 0+ blood type and we all turned out just fine with no health problems and as I have said, my mom has 0-.

Blood Types Don't matter when trying to conceive a baby.

I honestly didn't know there there were two blood types that could not have a baby. Iam assuming that it has nothing to do with blood seeing as how it has to do with sperm and eggs.

Yes. The woman will be offered Anti-D injections at various stages in pregnancy and after the birth, and during subsequent pregnancies.
Without Anti-D injections, future pregnancies may be at risk.
I don't think blood types alone can prevent a couple having a baby.

Leave O out of it - that's a red herring. Any time an rh negative woman carries an rh positive fetus, if for any reason any of that blood gets into her system she will suffer rh poisoning.
