Use ear drops. Ear wax usually clears itself, as it dissolves eventually. Drops are available from pharmacies.
Never use cotton buds, or poke things in your ear. This could push wax further in, and you risk causing damage to your ear.

You should use soap and wash in the ear with a finger or wash cloth. Then you should rinse it out with a direct spray from the shower while lifting the ear lobe. Once a week or so, you should put some watered down peroxide (or other wax removal stuff) and then do the same rinsing thing in the shower. Only use q-tips in the outer ear or not at all since they can pack wax in a lot deeper.

well if your just getting out of the shower and want to clean them out then id suggest just grabbing a Q-tip and digging in. but if you have an ear infection or theyre just too much for a Q-tip then lay on your side and have someone poor a capful of peroxide in your ear and itll tickle for a bit but when it starts to stop tickling flip over on a dishrag and let it drain, then carefully clean your ear with a Q-tip. works like a charm :D
