She started it by ragging on him after he gave Miss America a second chance at keeping her title.
He responded by calling her a fat pig and threatened to sue her.
She responded with some more insults, among other things, calling him a pimp.
He responded by calling her, among other things, an animal who would ruin "The View".
At that point I lost interest and stopped following it... I might get interested again if they decide to settle it with some bare-knuckle boxing though.

I believe it was Rosie that started the war with words. It is all over Miss USA, Tara Conner and being given a second chance for behavior unbecoming to the crown.
