Well, it's an interesting question as you didn't specify whether you were looking for who I think is going to win or who I want to see win.

Who I think is going to win: Alonso. He just has too good of a car and without Schumacher in the field to challenge him, I think that he'll run away with it. (Although, I'm still surprised that Renault is as competitive as it has been...)

Who I want to see win: Speed. This is purely selfish on my part because should an American win, F1 might start to challenge NASCAR for the most popular type of racing in North America.

Jeez, the dust has barely settled on the 2006 season! It's far too early to make predictions; let's wait until the 2007 cars have been launched and there is a bit of test mileage/kilometerage on them.
The only predictions anyone can make at this stage are wild speculative ones, usually based on a favourite driver rather than sound logic.
Not really the answer you wanted, but I'll treasure the two points for it.

I agree with Gregnir. Too early for predictions but the favorites are the same the only difference being that MS is not there on the grid.
With rules changes in Formula 1 lets see test results and the unveiling of Cars before predicting the winner. Kimi, ALonso, Massa, Fisichella, Button ... see it could go on

Even though there is much hype regarding Raikkonen being the favourite i get a gut feeling to watch out for Nico Rosberg! This year Williams will be having a much more powerful Toyota engine and if they r reliable enough, he may stand a chance. But still in d end logic says its either Raikkonen or Massa.

Too close to call, but I'm still going to call it and say either Alonso or Kovalainen, simply because Ferrari will fade out of the picture with weakened management and two drivers getting equal privileges(?!?), which hasn't happened at Maranello for 11 years!!

crace, it's the Formula 1 questions' board.
dj don, Alonso is engaged and Briatore is married. Both with WOMEN.
