no, because she/he can't punish you for something they didn't witness unless it's not completing your hw.

Why? What are you planning to do?

If a student does something off school property but at a school-sponsored event, the student is responsible to the school for his/her behaviour.

If - off school property - the student behaves in a way that impacts other students or staff members of the school, the student could possibly be disciplined for that action. For example, if a student threatens or harasses students so that it will affect how the victims of the threats or harassment can function at school - the student can be held responsible by the school.

It depends ... there are too many possible extenuating circumstances and other factors that might affect the answer to be able to say for sure. For example, did you do something on the school grounds? On the school bus? While waiting for the school bus? On the way to school? During lunch break? On a field trip? It is not simple.

yeah, if i were a teacher id punish you for the extremely rude and insensitive comment you left on a very sensitive subject.
i hope you get discipline and grow up. what are you, in middle school?
you had no right to say that and i was very offended by your comment.
and by the way. i have a BMI of 19 so therefore, i'm not fat.

Most definately not. She/he is only your teacher. She is who you obey by in school ONLY. If you did something on school grounds, she may have a right to...but off of school grounds, she most definately does not hold any right to punish you.

Did you do something wrong? Are you guilty? Rather than asking the question if someone will punish you; ask, did I do something wrong? You might be the one needing to do some explaining.

I wouldn't think so, but my friend got into trouble at school about something outside of school. He had a myspace and they made him delete it, and they got all mad cuz on it it said how much he didn't like the school, but that's his personal opinion so I don't get why that's fair!! They threatened to expel him!!!

If it is homework, yes. Otherwise, they can't punish you for something out of school.

she could if it affects your learning or another students learning. Perhaps if you got someone to do your homework, stole someone elses homework, bullyed someone, threatened someone. Then she could probably punish you
