I fail to understand how in the world Dirk is more versatile than Tony Parker. Truth is, if you put a solid defender on Dirk with a little bit of size, you can significantly slow his game down (like when he's being guarded by Bruce Bowen) or downright stop him. Dirk is not a defender, not a rebounder, not a shot blocker, not a playmaker and is irrelevant in the post. If you guard him, he can be taken out of the game.

Tony on the other hand, because of his cat-like quickness can penetrate on the best defenders in the NBA. Even if they slow him down, he cannot be kept out of the paint. Once the defense collapses, he kicks it out to Bruce Bowen, Brent Barry, Manu Ginobili or Michael Finley for the perimeter shot or dumping it off down low for a jam. If they don't collapse he's getting a lay-up or fouled or maybe both.

The point is, a stout defender will almost erase Nowitzki effectiveness whereas, Parker will still be effective because he can make plays without scoring. Dirk can't do that. Not that a 7 footer and a point guard should be compared anyway!!!!

But that's just what I think.

Dirk by far coz he is a big guy and has a better shhoting range than Parker. Also Dirk is a good all around player while all Parker can do is drive and shoot 3's. Oh and lastly Dirk doesn't go around marrying people 20 yrs. older than him

Dirk just because you can build a team around him. Not so much with Tony. If you build around a guard, he would need to be in the top 5 to even consider this.

seriously? Dirk by a mile. way more versatile, much more difficult to guard. parker will never be an MVP candidate, whereas Dirk is up there every year in the voting.

don't compare dirk (the go to guy on his team), to a point guard (who is not the go to guy on his team) because you will not get honest answers.

They're both excellent at their positions and what they are supposed to do on their team. Dirk causes mismatches for every team that faces him and can capitalize, Parker is able to penetrate on anyone and find open shooters and has a helluva floater & mid range jumper.

Dirk, the only advantages parker has is passing and quickness

Dirk is a better shooter, better rebounder, bigger and stronger

Dirk is one hundred twenty% extra constructive than Lebron James in each and every element. a minimum of he can shoot threes, a minimum of he have been given some unfastened factors, a minimum of he can shoot and not would desire to dunk ninety% of the time like Lebron James.
