one suggestion, use the song "calendar girl" and have different girls come in for every month, dressed according to the season =)

The first recital I was ever in (age 3) had that theme! I danced ballet to "hopping down the bunny trail" for Easter. My cousin danced to "American pie" for The 4th of July and..."oh Mr. sun" for august/summer (a little kids dance) That might be work for tap. We danced to calander girl in the beginning. "Easy like Sunday Morning" would work for a day of the week.

Ancient Italian artists used to use the zodiac to represent the passing of the months (which is why you'll see the zodiac in some catholic churches in Europe) so instead of using a normal January-December, Sunday-Saturday, Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter sort of theme perhaps you could use Aquarius/Gemini/Taurus/Libra . . .
I'm not terribly familiar with the zodiac so I can't recommend songs. It could probably be Googled though.

Try to mix fall and winter since they are so close together, for fall make your dance dramatic, cuase fall has dramatic dark colors, and wear like orange and white considering it snows in the winter, and make you dance very frail and light seeming, since a snow fall is so delicate and it just slowly falls and sticks to the ground, so at the end of your dance slowly just lye your self on the ground and spread out ! And use classical songs, every classical song has a sort of theme, so for Fall look online and listen fot something a bit dramatic and breezy, and after that for winter find a song bold but delicate and dreamy! Since we all "dream" for a white Christmas, and we dream for a guy to kiss under mistletoe! Its perfect!

How about something along the lines of "Girl for All Seasons" from Grease 2? More dancing of course...

In all honesty that is extremely cliché. Did your teacher give you the idea? But to answer your question, it would have to come down to your creativity in the routine, not costumes.
