The Blackberry is a full internet device. It can do, just short, of everything a full computer can. The service through most companies, (Sprint, Cingular, Nextel,..) is from $29.95 to $50 per month. I have a Cingular BIS plan that costs me $29.95 a month. A used Blackberry model 7290 will go for $70 to $100 used on eBay. that is where I purchased mine.

Scroll down near to Blackberry. To get the $29.95\mo you have to have the voice plan also, otherwise it is $34.95\mo

Laptops are battery driven, in case you didn't know!

But yeah, there are smaller devices available like Blackberry, iPAQ, Palm Pilots, cellphones, etc.

There is even tablet PC's from companies like Sony that are about half the size of the average laptop, but use a touch screen and has a full version of Windows.

I dumped my internet service and offered a usb on the spot broadband connection from sprint. perfect component I ever did! the speed is mind-blowing and strong. i can plug it into my pc at abode and percentage it with my spouse's computing gadget through ad-hoc mode....i can take it with me on journeys, etc. and use it even as i'm on the line. i'm extremely chuffed. Verizon and others furnish a similar component.
