I really want to make a good website but I cant! I need the site to work on a mac and I would like it to be free. Anybody have any ideas?

After trying all these I think im going to have to pay for one... Dreamweaver you have to pay for the Yahoo thing doesent work on macs that nvu think makes no sense and i dont have Ilife 06. I guess this is what happens when you have a mac. Thanks for the help if anybody has any other ideas please post them!

Some hosts provide free website tools. Yahoo!, for instance, provides Yahoo! SiteBuilder which comes with a ton of templates that you can use to get started. If you don't have Yahoo! web hosting then SiteBuilder won't work, so you may want to ask your hosting provider if they have any available. In addition, you could use Nvu which is free and pretty nice, or a free blogging program like WordPress (though WordPress requires a fair amount of technical skills).

Dreamweaver (It comes with Win/Mac CD's!)
NVU is a suitable alternative, and is free :)

Mmm... the ones I know about are not free, but you could use the trial versions. Microsoft Frontpage or Dreamweaver will do the job.

Does your Mac have iLife '06? If so, you have iWeb.
