what are those things where you hook up to your computer and it can connect a memory chip to it?

Yeah i need one for my psp to download some music/videos to my psp because my stupid computer cannot take the awesome powers of the psp.What is it called and can i get one from sony for a psp memory stick duo or and generic brands that will work for my memory CHIP!?

no i have that but it doesnt help i get this message saying power surge on hub port.I heard of this thing that can download stuff to your memory chip without using the psp. What is it called?
