OK let me see. I had a hysterectomy back in Feb. of 2005. They took everything except 1 ovary.

The past few days I have been running a fever of about 101 and have had terrible cramping in my tummy areas. I thought it was the stomach flu because some of my family had it. But I never had any throwing up or anything out the other end. Just the cramping, fever and feeling sick. Anyways.

This morning after I went pee I wiped and noticed a little bit of blood. I didn't think anything of this until I went back to go to the bathroom again and saw some "spotting" on my undies. What is the deal? If I have no parts ... then what is the blood? Is this normal?? Should I be worried??

And just to throw it in there ... I haven't had sex lately. So nothing like that could of caused it. Should I call the doctor? Is the flu thing and the blood thing somehow related????

Thanks for all of the feed back.

I'd guess that you might have a kidney stone, or a bladder infection.

The blood makes me think more along the lines of a stone, though. If it is a stone, you may pass it on your own, or it may require lithotripsy (using sound waves to break up the stone) or cystoscopy (using a scope to go up and get the stone).

You need to see a doctor about this, but it doesn't sound like an ER emergency. More like a "see the doctor tomorrow" urgency.

(It's not internal hemorrhaging, and is not likely to be at all related to surgery that you had almost 2 years ago.)

Good luck to you.

This sounds like something for which you should call your doctor. It sounds like you may have a fairly nasty kidney infection. Although you can still spot post-hysterectomy, even with your cervix gone, it's not usual for it to happen without some cause (sex or heavy workouts are typical culprits).

Please, get to the emergency room now.
You could be experiencing an internal hemmorage from who knows what.
It may also be one mothertrucker of a UTI.
This sounds more like it.
If you've got a REAL bad Urinary Tract Infection, it can cause the fever.
Go now before it gets worse, because it is VERY rare for them to go away on their own.
Please get to the DR.
