i thought the ones who made it on american idol were people with no or little experience in singing etc. sounds rigged to me.

My girl DRAGGGGGGGGED me to see it, but it was actually kinda good (although I will never admit it to her).
so...the little chubby one was on American Idol? She sounds better than Kelly Pickler that's for sure!

Both she and fantasia audtitioned fot the role...Hudson was turned down several times but she kept trying and believed she was the right person for the role. The director called her back severl times to re-read for the part. she sang several songs including "i'm telling you i'n not going" the song made famous by jennifer holliday from the broadway version. When she finally won fantasia called her and congradulations you fat cow!... they are close firends. IT TOOK A LOT OF EFFORT ON HER part to get the part. * for the longest time she had been rejected for the part! OH by the way if you think american idol is scripted...your people are wrong....I've had very many friends in texas on the show and several that actually made it!

She had to have been talented to enter the American Idol contest to begin with. She seems to be a major talent now. Talents have to come from somewhere; American Idol is a good start.

Newsflash: anyone who actually makes it on a contest already had an agent before they tried out. It is all scripted from beginning to end. All of the game shows have always been.

Let's be real about this: the girl has talent and has the pipes to back it up. Voice is just as strong as beyonce's if not stronger and plus she shows the attitude and sass of effie.
