how come the contestants on NEXT are so damn conceited, well especially the guys..

Because it's scripted. S2G it is.
If you take the time to really watch the show you'll see what I'm talking about. Their corny little catch-phrases are completely made up by the show's producers or someone on there because it's just that obvious. All the things they do on the dates are obviously scripted as well since they are on there for money more than anything else. The people on that show have no originality to it, but what did you expect from MTV?

I think they are actors also . I mean come on how many times can a mother or father hate their sons or daughters boyfriend .. for almost the same reasons . This show is milking on a storyline if you ask me.

and have you noticed they are never that cute? that is why they are desperate enough to go on a TV show because no one wants to have to deal with that attitude on a daily basis.

They are just playing it up, I think that show is pretty funny. Parental Conrol is even funnier.
