Digital Fortress is my personal favorite

The DaVinci Code was also very, very good, not anything like the movie.

But then again, i like all Dan Brown books.

:)

I liked all 4. I liked Deception Point and Digital Fortress a lot and... of course the Da Vinci Code. But the one that kept me the most intrigued was Angels and Demons. The only disappointment there was the urealistic free-fall from the helicopter where he lived by using a 3' peice of cloth.

My favorite is probably Angels and Demons, maybe because I learned it was sort of a prequel for Da Vinci Code (which I read first.) I always like to find out the "history" of something - in this case it would be the main character and his involvement in decoding.

Deception Point was pretty good - seems more in the line with a Grisham thriller; I did enjoy Digital Fortress as well.

Only half read Da Vinci Code so far (yep, only just started it) but I love the concept and how it is written.
I've got Angels and Demons in the wings waiting to read and have been told that I will love it.

I love controversary and Dan Brown had it in spades after Da Vinci Code came out

I've read three of them--all except the one on NASA. My favorite was Angels and Demons. DaVinci Code bored me. I didn't go see the movie because they always fail to live up to the book. The other one--Digital Fortress?--was good, but I'm not much into science so I found it slow going. I thought Brown kept the pace going, had some nice plot twists and turns, and it was good lighthearted reading--good escapism from my usual fare.

For the Mitch Albom fan--he's good, certainly has some poignant moments in his books, but if you're looking for something insightful to read look for anything by Annie Dillard--especially FOR THE TIME BEING. It's a little more upscale thinking.

I know some people are going to think I'm jumping on the Dan Brown bandwagon, but he wrote a book that is my #1 favorite of all time. I loved Angels & Demons, though I do admit it is not for everyone (my husband thought DaVinci code was ok, nothing terrific, and I think he'd hate Angels & Demons). I have read all 4 of his books...Digital Fortress was probably my least favorite.

I've read DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons, and I'm sorry to say that I'm none too impressed with Mr. Brown. I think his writing style is a little boring and there is too little actual plot development, then everything fits together neatly in the space of a few pages. The reason I bothered to finish DaVinci Code was only because everyone else in the world had read it, but I don't think I'll waste my time reading any more of Brown's novels. I like Mitch Albom much better if I have to choose a contemporary author.

Da vinci code. I was really fascinated by the different twists. I read it in 48 hours. I really like the kind of books where the events make your mind thinks & anticipates what will happen next.

Davinci Code, and Deception Point are the only two I've read, and they were both really good.
