Soak them in some warm water with Epsom salt, then prop them up a while. I understand that if you have children and a hundred things to do after work, that this isn't possible very often. If you ever have the opportunity, try it, you'll like it.

yes, i sell cell phones and I'm on a sales floor all day. wearing dress shoes especially will kill your feet. use a foot bath with Epsom salts to relieve.

Well, mom is right about soaking your feet in hot water. Throw in a cup or so of Epsom Salt if you have it, that'll help too. A twelve hour day is a long time to be on your feet if you aren't used to it. Do you have a particular dress code where you work? If not, then try to find some really good comfortable shoes to wear. Good running shoes might be an option. Personally I work 8 hours a day, five days a week in an auto parts store, so a lot of my job is not only standing but walking, lifting, etc. I prefer wearing work boots as do most of my associates. They can be a bit heavy until your legs get used to the extra weight, but they give excellent ankle support and that helps also. I realize this may not be an option for you, but do the best you can for yourself within the requirements of your job. Good shoes with arch support, non-slip soles are great too. Thick socks if you can, for some extra padding there. Or possibly look into some of the padded inserts that go into the shoe, to give you a little extra padding that way. Oh, and lace them snugly too. If they get too tight during the day, take a minute and loosen them but not too loose. You need them as snug as is comfortable for the support. Good luck :) Bill
