The fact that you are asking this question shows that you have some doubts about your friend and whether or not she would keep the confidence. Are you afraid they will fire you if they find out you are quitting? Some places will do that.

Why don't you just keep this to yourself. (You know, they say, if you really want a secret kept, then don't tell anyone your secret!)

If your friend is really a friend, she will still be one AFTER you leave. If not, you will find out and you will get the two weeks pay that you might not get if the company finds out early that you are quitting. Especially if they are "shady" as you put it.

No, just hand in the 2 week notice. It's not their business to know they're turning shady unless you experienced something bad (that's when you bring up something to the boss).

NO.
Give your notice first. Remember, your friend is not your employer and she may let the cat out of the bag before you are ready to, and you may have a change of heart and decide to stay, then what?
Tell your friend after the fact.

I wouldn't say anything to her. I was in almost the same situation as you were a long time ago. My friend decided he was gonna quit too right when I told him I was gonna quit, and the boss ended up thinking that we were in it together to screw him over.

No, definately do not tell anyone before your boss. I'm a manager and have worked for very large corporations for a long time, this is a no-brainer, you never tell anyone at work before you tell your boss.

Emphatically...NO!! The first person you tell is the person you report to. After that, feel free to share with your friend, unless your boss asks that he be the one to inform your coworkers.
