I AGREE with those comments on Pelosi..(and all the other Liberal Dems!) But your answers were good for LAUGH. I needed it! I was hoping to see Jimmy Buffett perform...big fan! Tho' it upsets me to know that he's one of those..(Lib Dems). Wish he would keep his politics to himself..but I realize that he's just misguided and misinformed.

I beg your pardon...YES there are! ( I saw the announcement in some Jimmy Buffett information stuff that I subscribe to...Carole King will be there also.) She's also misguided and misinformed. Are you serious with that opinion on Nancy you just wrote??? If so....sorry! You are misguided and misinformed as well..
They will probably only televise the political propaganda on CNN with Pelosi tonite..(& none of the entertainment..)
I watched a little of the news on it today..(FOX Fair & Balanced!) but my stomach was turning... It was a little like "mold growing on bread"..Haha! Well anyway ...thanks for all of your answers & help.... I'm new at this...first time I've ever tried asking a question...

Sigh! Sorry if you think I'm cynical. I happen to be female also..older & wiser..Hillary??? Dear God!!!
I'm praying that she's turned herself into TOAST... Nancy Pelosi is as bad as Hillary...maybe worse...as far as her Liberal Politics are concerned. Take some time and get to know about her... Or maybe you agree with her politics? I used to be a Democrat ...not Liberal, however. The Conserative movement is the best thing we have going for us.... It's not about men vs. women... Our Country is in serious trouble and it's time to stop the harmful back & forth bickering, name calling, etc. between the two main political parties. It's disgraceful to say the least.
I hope they reign Nancy & her "mouth" in a little. Before she won the election, her behavior and disrespectful comments about our President were atrocious. To me, that doesn't represent a "strong" woman. (I shudder to think that she might be a "heartbeat" away from the Office of President.) Cynical? Hope not!

It would be good if Nancy continues to make mistakes...ie put her foot in her mouth as well. They're trying to mold her into Every Woman's woman...which she is NOT. The mother/grandmother thing..??? How far is that going to go? I read somewhere that she's a conservative's nightmare...sounds about right! Remember the funny stories about Hillary being the "smartest woman in the world"? (one joke especially, where she snatched a boy scout's backpack..mistook it for a parachute...to jump out of a crashing plane...Hahaha!)
Now...Nancy, the "most powerful woman in the world"...???
Egads! Maybe, she'll "self destruct"! A good "Lady President" would be Laura Bush...What a WOMAN and she's more than SMART ....as well. Lots more good adjectives for her, but that's another story.

While she used powerful words in accepting the Speaker’s gavel that wrapped herself in the flag of God-fearing American patriotism, her deeds of the past speak far louder. Pelosi is pro-homosexual marriage, pro-abortion, even pro-partial birth abortion. She has voted against tax cuts, against the Patriot Act, against allowing the words “under God” to remain in the pledge of allegiance, and against allowing public displays of the Ten Commandments. She has voted against stopping illegal immigration. And Pelosi has worked to undermine traditional marriage, even by voting against the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.
Pelosi closed her acceptance speech with a phrase associated with the Communitarian Network when she said, “Let us all stand together to move our country forward, seeking common ground for the common good.” The Communitarian Network is a self-described “coalition of individuals and organizations who have come together to shore up the social, moral and political environment…a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, transnational association."
Communitarian doctrine puts government above individual rights by developing democratic consensus often using moral issues.

Truthsayer, Over the weekend Pelosi did herself some severe injury. In attempting to woo the Roman Catholic vote back to the democratic occasion, she have been given on television and lied. She emphatically suggested that the Roman Catholic Church has been traditionally professional-abortion. Going each and every of the some time past to Tertullian (c. 172 advert) the writings of the Catholic Church, including Bulls and Edicts, have been a hundred% anti-abortion. So, maximum appropriate till now the Democratic convention, she did an quite idiotic factor. How would desire to the #3 inline for the presidency do some thing so juvenile? So, she would be refrained from for a together as. with a bit of luck she will make an apology to the RC Church. "Ranger"

As the new speaker of the house all I can say she has made some managerial mistakes lately. Libs talk opens but only create distrust in the end. But I heard that she isn't as bright as some on the hill are.

I HOPE NOT!!!!
I'd rather watch mold grow on bread.
note: I'm happy to hear your opinions on Pelosi are from the conservative point of view, and I take back my thumbs down rating on that point. However, I still stand by my "I don't want to see a bunch of limousine-socialist celebrities perform". All they will do is play one song and go off on a "impeach Bush, stop the war, stop the fence, soak the rich, gay marriage now" rant (just like any awards show, which I also make sure I miss). Makes me want to puke.

I don't like the Democrats in there, or Pelosi.
The wise man, Solomon, wrote, "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn." (Proverbs 29:2 - KJV)

There are no "celebrity performances". It is a serious event which you must see.
I already watched the convention this afternoon on CNN. I actually checked Fox News periodically and they haven't shown it yet.
You should see it soon. It is really a monumental and enlightening spectacle to behold.
